Points of Focus
Our ODE Deputy will make the following violations points of focus. A reminder there are resources at the bottom of this page in regards to why these are being enforced. Many if not all are either Indiana state laws or county ordinances. The goal is to make sure dangerous parking situations are avoided.
Parking within 3 vehicle lengths of a stop sign or the intersection of two or more streets
Rational - Doing so inhibits vehicles who are turning onto that road, causing them to turn into the incorrect lane which can lead to collisions
Vehicles parked in the yard
Vehicles parked on the roadway blocking access to a fire hydrant
Vehicles parked on the roadway that do not have a valid license plate
Vehicles parked on the roadway that block the driveway belonging to another
Vehicles parked on the roadway that block a mailbox belonging to another
